Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship and The Moody’s Foundation

The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s (NFTE) World Series of Innovation, presented by Microsoft, is a fun, experiential activity that allows students ages 14 to 24 to think creatively and invent new products or services that address everyday opportunities. All students are encouraged to participate to develop their creativity and innovative thinking skills.

Student groups of 2 to 3 and their teachers pick at least one innovation challenge category. The categories for the innovation challenge are announced in fall, with further details, sample submissions, and additional activities to support your work on the different challenge levels. There are two winning teams per category: one chosen by a committee of elite judges from the sponsoring organization, and one chosen by popular vote through NFTE’s online voting platform. When the innovation challenges are announced, specific additional prizes are also announced.

Eligibility: Public, Private, Other (including homeschool, 501 (c)(3) organizations), Charter

Award: The winning students receive $2,000 to share and a prize of $500 for their school or other nonprofit youth serving organization. Winners may also receive prizes from their category’s sponsor.

Deadline: December 14
