Project Lead The Way, Inc.

PLTW collaborates with leading organizations across the U.S. to create funding opportunities supporting and empowering students to thrive. The PLTW Grant Program helps districts and schools across the country start new PLTW programs and expand their existing programs.

PLTW grants serve programs over multiple states; below are the specifics for Ohio funding:
—————-
ArcelorMittal: In the U.S., ArcelorMittal has a history of strong investment in STEM organizations and programming within its local communities. ArcelorMittal invests in education within its communities with the knowledge that learning is essential to an individual’s economic success, in developing future leaders and creating stronger communities.

Eligibility: Public, charter (Cuyahoga County, or within 10 miles of the ArcelorMittal facilities in Columbus and Warren)

Verizon: In partnership with Verizon Innovative Learning, PLTW is offering eligible middle schools the opportunity to bring computer science education to their students with a $20,000 grant for the implementation of PLTW Gateway computer science units: PLTW App Creators and PLTW Computer Science for Innovators and Makers. These grants, disbursed to each school over a two-year period, will assist in offsetting startup costs associated with implementing the units.

The number of grant awards available are limited, so PLTW encourages schools to submit their application as soon as possible.
