The United States Soccer Foundation is accepting Letters of Inquiry to their Safe Places to Play program. Funding is available nationwide.
Eligible applicants include community organizations, schools, municipalities, and other groups that offer soccer opportunities to youth. Grants are available for synthetic turf, irrigation, lighting, and sport court for soccer usage.
Applicants must have non-profit status and at the time of application be 50% funded for the project. The Foundation is especially interested in organizations that incorporate a youth development element such as anti-violence, educational attainment, healthy lifestyles, etc. into their soccer programs.
Award amounts are:
* up to $15,000 for irrigation,
* $25,000-50,000 for lighting,
* $15,000-30,000 for sport court, and no more than 15% of the total cost for synthetic turf installation.
