All Grants, Classroom Grants

The Morris Family Foundation

The Morris Family Foundation makes grants to support the growth of innovative, effective educational practices that advance the spread of information. Seed grants for new or expanding programs are awarded, with priority given to programs that focus on populations that are underserved or with special needs, and that use technology in creative ways. Projects may take place in traditional schools or vocational schools and involve distance learning. Projects should fit into the framework of venture philanthropy, characterized by willingness to try new approaches, promote long-term execution and ongoing solutions (not temporary fixes), and support growth of good ideas by employing capable people.

Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in the United States whose missions are broadly related to education. Applications must be submitted using the online system.

Eligible Organizations: Public, Charter, Other (including homeschool, 501 (c)(3) organizations).

Awards: Awards vary.

Deadline: October 5, 2018.
