Reynolds American Foundation

The Reynolds American Foundation makes grants in the areas of public education, and local community development. Within the area of public education, the foundation focuses on public school and community programs that prepare children to enter school ready to learn and programs that primarily focus on improving academic performance of low-performing and economically disadvantaged students.

Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or appropriate government agencies serving residents in communities where Reynolds American Inc. and R.J. Reynolds employees live and work. Proposals must be submitted by postal mail.

Eligibility: Public, Other (including homeschool, 501 (c)(3) organizations), Charter.

Award: Awards vary (Most Ohio funding has been in the $200 – $1000 range. An Ohio church received $38,000).

Deadline: Proposals are due February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1, annually.
