The National PTA, with funding from TikTok, is awarding COVID-19 Relief Fund Grants to PTAs in the United States to help school communities meet their most pressing needs stemming from the coronavirus pandemic. Focus issues for grant funding are food security, mental health and social/emotional support, distance learning, and internet and device access. PTAs are encouraged to create programs to support as many vulnerable families in a community as possible and not only those in their own public schools, and to keep equity in mind. These grants are Phase 2 of a three-phase relief program. PTAs that received funding in Phase 1 are not eligible to apply.
Eligible applicants are US local, district, council, or regional PTAs in good standing. Qualified applicants must partner with community members to identify needs and ensure maximum funding impact. The application form is available one the website and requires login and PTA information, including Unit ID number, to access. Complete applications must be submitted using the online system. Grant awards will be made by August 5. Grantees must participate in a minimum of two support-training calls and funds must be spent by December 11, 2020.
Eligibility: Public, Charter
Award: Grants of $5,000 to local PTAs and $15,000 to district/council/regional PTAs are awarded.
