FedEx Corporation, through its FedEx Cares platform, awards Charitable Giving Grants to support qualified nonprofit organizations in communities it serves. Both cash contributions and donated shipping are awarded. Priority programs for contributions are those that align with FedEx Cares’ five areas of emphasis: employment pathways for teens and young adults in underserved populations through skills and career training; road safety to educate drivers and pedestrians, especially children, and improve road conditions; delivering for good in times of disaster; sustainable transportation to improve mobility and reduce congestion; and global entrepreneurship for women and minority-owned small businesses to increase training and access to resources. FedEx initiates most funding activities but accepts unsolicited requests during two annual grant application periods.
Eligible applicants are US-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations. The application for unsolicited requests is available online from a link on the grants website during the specified application months. Required information includes background/mission of the applicant organization, why FedEx Cares assistance is needed and how it would be used, project information and evaluation plans, and timeline. All applications must be submitted using the online system.
Eligibility: Other (including homeschool, 501 (c)(3) organizations)
Award: Awards vary.
Deadline: Applications are accepted January 1 through 31 and June 1 through 30, annually.
