5 Grant Funding Opportunities (part 1)

Here’s a sampling of grant opportunities that might be a good fit for your initiative:

  1. Costco Wholesale
    • Costco Wholesale’s focus for funding is on supporting children, education, and health/human services. Using their grant application form, you can request the amount of funding you need. Costco is not able to accommodate all requests but, organizations can apply once a year.
    • Amount: Varies
    • Deadline: Rolling
  2. Association of American Educators Foundation Classroom Grant
    • This classroom grant is to be used for materials and projects such as books, calculators, art supplies, etc. and must be used within one year of the application deadline.
    • Amount: Up to $500
    • Deadline: October 8th, 2022
  3. AASL Innovative Reading Grant
    • This grant supports the planning and implementation of innovative programs that motivate students to read more. Programs should be designed for students that are K-9, and offer ways to evaluate student improvements. Applicants must be a member of AASL.
    • Amount: $2,500
    • Deadline: February 1, 2023 (Applications open September 1, 2022)
  4. NCTM Equity in Mathematics Grant
    • Funding from this grant should be used for improving classroom materials and lessons for greater outcomes for all students. The goal for this grant is to give students that previously underachieved, the tools they need to succeed.
    • Amount: Up to $8,000
    • Deadline: November 1st, 2022
  5. Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation
    • Mitsubishi offers funding for projects that help students develop skills needed to increase employment opportunities, specifically students and veterans with disabilities. The program should offer an innovative way to promote inclusion of student with disabilities alongside of their peers.
    • Amount: Varies
    • Deadline: November 1st, 2022
