Summer Learning and Afterschool Opportunities

EnvisionEdPlus has a great partnership with Gap Logic, the Ohio Afterschool Network and the Ohio Department of Education to bring SLA Opportunities Grantees and ESSER grantees the highest quality professional development. The sessions listed below are FREE for SLAOG grantees! Grantees will periodically receive emails from EnvisionEdPlus with registration  reminders and information. Thursday, December 15th, 2022 9-3pm – Live virtual 

Gain strategies for using data to understand how your program is affecting students. Reflect on your grant’s data requirements and get advice from experts on how they solved data collection and evaluation’s toughest challenges.

Friday, January 20th, 2023 9-3pm – Live virtual 

Understand the use of research and evidence-based practices with brain science to create a mind safe learning environment. Learn and practice 9 STREAM model strategies that help connect hands, hearts, and minds, so that trauma impacted youth can better access their ‘thinking brain’.

BYOD (Bring Your Own Data) Day! Teams will analyze this past year’s student data and program outcomes. Learn best practices for addressing key challenges and make plans to improve program effectiveness.

Learn ways OST can thread literacy and practice throughout a program and still be FUN! Discover free resources and activities aligned to Ohio’s Plan to Raise Literacy Achievement.

Thursday, January 12, 2023 9-3pm – Live virtual 

Enhance empathy skills as we Walk a Mile in the shoes of our children and families. Develop skills to advocate for and train others to ensure mutually respectful and collaborative relationships. 

4. Actors and Factors Workshop

Morning session (9:30-1pm) or Afternoon session (12-3:30pm)

SLAOG grantees get free access to a half-day Actors and Factors session at the OAN Best Foot Forward Pre-conference. Develop skills to effectively communicate with and engage partners. There will be a morning session (9:30-1pm) and an Afternoon session (12-3:30)
