Out of School Time Day of Innovation

EnvisionEdPlus, Pennsylvania Intermediate Unit 1, the Ohio Afterschool Network and the Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool and Youth Development Network are joining forces with Inventionland to offer a unique – and FREE – Day of Innovation. After-school and summer program professionals from Ohio and Pennsylvania will learn strategies for innovating, making and storytelling from Inventionland, one of the world’s largest invention factories. If you have never heard of Inventionland, you must check them out!

The Out of School Time (OST) Day of Innovation includes a morning full of STEM/STEAM challenges, sampled from Inventionland Institute’s K-12 inventing coursework. These challenges are fun and be used in any OST program. Activity instructions will be provided to all participants to take home. We will have facilitated discussions about embedding high quality STEM learning in OST programs, successful STEM practices in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and the ongoing support offered in each state.
