Regional info meetings for Community Connectors slated

The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) has just announced a series of regional information sessions for the upcoming Community Connectors grant competition. The Community Connectors program funds local partnerships to provide volunteer mentoring to middle and high school students.

Valuable information was provided at last year’s sessions. Our blog from last year has some perennial tips based on those meetings. If your organization is considering an application, it’s a good idea to attend one of the sessions provided by ODE next week.

ODE has announced that the application period for the next round of Community Connectors grants will open in February 2018.  The state will award $8 million in 3:1 matching grants. Information sessions are scheduled for the following times and places:

Tiffin  - Monday, December 11, 1-3 pm, at Vanguard-Sentinel Career Center, 793 E. Township Rd 201, Tiffin, OH 44883

Archbold - Thursday, December 14, 1-3 pm, at Northwest State Community College, 22600 State Route 34, Archbold, OH 43502

Chillicothe - Friday, December 15, 10 am – Noon, at Adena Regional Medical Center, PACCAR Medical Education Center, 446 Hospital Rd, Chillicothe, OH 45601
