Description

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation’s Summer Reading Grant supports local programs that enable youth to read during the summer. These grants are designed to help nonprofit organizations, schools, and libraries create or expand summer reading activities that improve literacy and encourage students to read outside the classroom. 

Eligibility

  • Schools, public libraries, and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
  • Must provide direct literacy services
  • Programs serve K-12 students
  • Located within 15 miles of a Dollar General store or distribution center
