LaunchPad to Pathway Funding

LaunchPad to Pathways Funding

At EnvisionEdPlus, we have been working to help youth serving organizations design, build, and sustain career and college pathways because we see the true value in them. As Ohio continues to work on the biennial budget, we have been keeping our audience up to date on any changes that happen as it moves forward and how the budget will impact their pathways.

Ohio’s proposed budget currently offers to financially support, reimburse, and incentivize preparing students for successful futures. $10 million was recently added to the budget proposal for the work-based learning incentive program. That allocates $10 million each fiscal year to pay school districts, community schools, and STEM schools $1,000 per student who completes a minimum of 250 hours of work-based learning! Reimbursement for industry recognized credentials is also shown on the proposed budget for $5.5 million per year.

Career and college pathways are continuing to be an important part of Ohio’s budget. The continuation of the Innovative Workforce Program would allow ODE to pay out $1,250 to school districts, community schools, STEM schools, and JVSD for each qualifying credential earned by students in the prior fiscal year.

In addition to these incentives for developing career pathways for students, there are also likely to be competitive grants available in the coming year. That’s where the grant gurus  can help! EEP has helped our clients receive nearly half a BILLION in funding so, we’re prepared to help schools navigate this.

Wondering where to start? We are inviting middle and high school teams to join us on July 31st and August 1st for an interactive and collaborative learning event where school teams will work to design, build, and sustain pathways.

At LaunchPad 2023 – Pathways to Possibilities, participants will engage in learning sessions led by experts from across the U.S. who will share innovative resources, emerging trends, and techniques that will empower school teams and leave them with the knowledge and resources to build successful opportunities for their students. (Which can lead to a great amount of funding from the state!)

Between concurrent learning sessions, participating teams will be supported by our team, expert presenters and potential partners in designing, improving or expanding pathways for their students as they brainstorm and design pathways tailored to the unique needs of their students while leveraging their community and resources. 1-on-1 meetings are available for teams to receive personalized support to help navigate the complex world of career and college readiness, funding, and all the steps that go into it.

If your team needs hotel accommodations at the event (The Lodge), we do have a group booking code, but be aware that they are going quickly! If you have any questions about LaunchPad, please contact Kelley (Kelley@envisionedplus.com).

Please note: The items currently in the proposed budget that we listed here could be changed or deleted as it makes its way through the legislative process.
