ESSER and Summer Learning and Opportunities Grantees
EnvisionEdPlus has a great partnership with Ten-Speed Consulting, the Ohio Afterschool Network and the Ohio Department of Education to bring SLA Opportunities Grantees and ESSER grantees the highest quality professional development. The sessions listed below are FREE for grantees! Grantees will periodically receive emails from EnvisionEdPlus with registration reminders and information. Thursday, September 14th AND Friday, September 15th, 2023 9-12pm – Live virtual
Deepen teams’ understanding of effective federal grant management strategies, including use of federal funds, data collection and reporting. Share new strategies for using data to communicate the program’s impact to key stakeholders including parents, school/district leadership and potential funders.
Friday, October 13th, 2023 9-3pm – Live virtual
Learn strategies for implementing literacy instruction in out-of-school time programs while still engaging students in FUN and interactive ways. Discover FREE (or inexpensive) resources and activities that can help build literacy skills in interesting and fun ways. All resources and activities shared will be in alignment with Ohio’s Plan to Raise Literacy Achievement.
Career Connections Design Lab
Thursday, November 2nd AND Friday, November 3rd, 2023 9-12pm – Live virtual
Introduce Ohio’s Career Connections framework. Build awareness of resources, tools and activities like INFOhio’s OpenSpace, OAN’s STEM resources, and Young Entrepreneur Institute’s entrepreneurship resources. Engage participants in collaborating with community partners to effectively provide career awareness (K-5), career exploration (6-8) and career planning (9-12) experiences within their programs.

Enhance empathy skills as we Walk a Mile in the shoes of our students and their families. Learn how to design professional learning experiences for staff and community partners to more effectively engage with children and families that are serves by out-of-school time programs.
