As you might have noticed, EnvisionEdPlus is growing! A little more than a year ago, EEP had only two full time staff (Tricia and me) and about a half dozen consultants. Since then, Dr. Thomie Timmons joined us as our Chief Learning Officer, and our Summer 2021 intern Kelley Albright was promoted three times (!), this month becoming our first full-time Marketing Manager. Yeah, she’s awesome. Thanks to the EEP network, we have a really hard decision to make over the next few weeks as we add another new team member to fill our Strategic Management Specialist role. The applicant pool for this position is amazing!

As we approach our 10-year anniversary, our team is proud of our accomplishments so far:

  • Our total grant awards have surpassed $225 Million to support innovation in education and youth development!
  • EnvisionEdPlus™ facilitated 40 Design Labs and LaunchPads, helping 1,600 educators and youth development professionals equitably address some of their most pressing challenges.
  • Our professional development has gone national – and international! EnvisionEdPlus has provided professional services for hundreds of organizations in 74 of Ohio’s 88 counties, and in 29 states and the District of Columbia. We have also reached international audiences in Egypt, Indonesia, Palestine, Thailand, and Swaziland.

So what is next for your EEP Peeps?

We are starting a new Innovation Ambassador program to recognize the outstanding work and commitment of school and OST personnel who are driving local innovations so each youth thrives. We are partnering with Career Town Network to launch a statewide virtual career fair so any Ohio graduating senior can find great jobs, internships and apprenticeships!

On behalf of the Ohio Department of Education, EEP will be providing 19 trainings for Summer Learning Afterschool Opportunity grantees and ESSER grantees helping them implement, enhance and sustain high quality, active and engaging learning experiences to meet the needs of each youth they serve.

In partnership with Carefree Education Service Group, we are dramatically increasing our on-demand PDPlus™ courses. Today we have a dozen active and engaging PDPlus courses that educators and OST professionals can do at their own pace. Our goal is to have 100 by December 2023.

EEP is designing dozens of new in-person, live virtual, and video-based workshops. Watch for updates on our Strategies that Re-center and Engage All Minds (STREAM) Model for Mind Safe Learning; career and college readiness workshops, including our Pathways and Pre-Apprenticeship series and a Middle School Career Awareness Expo; and Enteractive, a new and exciting video-based series that offers quick and simple strategies for addressing youth needs so they can focus on learning.

We can't do this alone, so consider growing with us!

Over the next several years, we plan to add 40 new faces to our team of awesome consultants. This ‘gig’ based work is an exciting way to share your passion and talent for educational innovation with others – when and where you want!  Learn more about three new ways you can join EEP team as a PDPlus Design and Facilitation Consultant, Educational Innovation Training Consultant and/or a Program Design/Grant Writing Consultant.
